This line comes from the Buddhist scripture Sutta Nipāta.
In the original text, it is an exhortation to walk one’s path alone—
like the single horn of a rhinoceros,
undistracted, unattached, and unmoved by comparison.
It does not mean isolation.
It means
not being shaken,
not measuring oneself against others,
and continuing steadily on one’s own path.
We are not avoiding school.
We are choosing how learning enters our child’s life.
He is learning at his own pace.
Not rushed, not delayed — just his.
What surprises me most is not how much he studies,
but how deeply interested he has become in learning itself.
His curiosity is growing,
and with it, his ability to absorb, connect, and understand.
Every day, I find myself quietly amazed
by how much more he is capable of
when the rhythm fits him.
This path is not permanent.
It is intentional.
We are learning, adjusting,
and preparing ourselves to return —
when the time feels right.
For now,
this is simply where learning feels most alive.
