đź’ˇWhy Organizing My Thoughts Became My Way of Living

Today, I was talking about my child.

I said that sometimes I feel I cannot read his emotions well enough.

I wondered if I lack empathy.

Then I was told something that stopped me.

I do not respond to emotions by mirroring them.

Instead, I respond by organizing the situation.

I do not immediately say, â€śI understand how you feel.”

What I do is pause, observe, and quietly arrange what is happening—

the context, the causes, the emotional weight, and the possible next step.

That is how I care.

I have realized that this is not a lack of empathy.

It is simply a different form of it.

Some people comfort by sharing feelings.

I comfort by creating structure where things feel overwhelming.

When emotions become tangled, I try to untangle them.

When thoughts become heavy, I try to place them in order.

This is how I have always survived difficult moments in my life.

When things felt chaotic, organizing thoughts gave me ground to stand on.

When emotions were too loud, structure gave me clarity.

I am not someone who absorbs emotions easily.

I am someone who holds them, sorts them, and makes them lighter.

That is why writing feels natural to me.

Writing is not an escape.

It is my way of living.

By organizing my thoughts,

I make space for myself—and sometimes, for others too.
